Practical advice for the non-technical

The Product

Highlighting key business issues for the SMB segment since its launch in 2005, SMB Advisor is armed with practical advice, case studies, market research, management and HR tips, legal advice, financial insights, marketing and logistics pointers, expert advice on technology for business and a lot more to help businesses grow.

The Market

SMBs have it tough, balancing between limited resources and making investments to grow the business. Keeping pace with industry trends is critical to growth, and still remains one of those things that falls through the cracks, until there is a problem.

So how do small and medium sized businesses build a healthy operation and retain their competitive advantage? And how do vendors tap into this lucrative, yet highly spread-out segment that currently represents about 85% of the Middle East market? With the new SMB Advisor, which comes packed with information and advice for businesses in the region. Churning out high-end advice, the magazine dramatically improves interaction between regional business heads, vendors, partners and stakeholders.

Our SMB readers come from various industry verticals, and in order to cater to them, the magazine content is broad-based and relevant across industries in the region. Our definition of an SMB is a business with an annual revenue that does not exceed AED 25 million, and a maximum of 150 employees.

Tapping into the market:

To make things easier, we have refocused our magazine to include “monthly specials” on topics that are in keeping with the needs of businesses. These topics range from winning the retail war, to the financial sector, women at work, direct marketing, investment opportunities in the region, CSR and green initiatives, business travel, safeguarding your business (assets, employees and data), and so on.

Our revamped and expanded "how to buy" section addresses tech and non-tech buying needs of businesses. It offers an excellent visibility platform through advertorials, sponsorship of the section, sponsored polybag, and more.

Our "business makeover" is another opportunity to reach the target audience in a non-traditional, focused, and more interactive manner – as opposed to conventional advertising.

Our "events and online activities", which are underway, will provide another interactive and effective way for marketers to connect with their target audience.
